With joy and great participation, in the diocese of Makeni, too, the Year of Mercy has been inaugurated with the solemn opening of the DOOR of the Cathedral which is dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima. This important event has not been celebrated earlier because of the pressing pastoral commitments of the Apostolic Administrator of the diocese, Mons. Natale Paganelli, who was consecrated Bishop on 31st October 2015.

Fr Martin ALI KEKE NDEMSOU is my name. I was born in Chad in a Christian family. Being born in a Christian family opened for me the way to become a catholic priest. I have four brothers and six sisters. Regarding my Xaverian missionary vocation, I felt it initially when I was in a minor seminary. Then, I expressed this desire to Father Fernando Garcia, a Xaverian missionary. After my baccalaureate, he began to accompany me along the Xaverian life. Meanwhile, I was engaged in a secondary school as a French teacher. I taught this subject for one year.
SPEECH OF BISHOP NATALE DURING HIS EPISCOPAL ORDINATION

Honourable Vice President and Lady
Honourable Members of the Government and Parliament
Honourable Paramount Chiefs and Tribal Authorities

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ
In omnibus Christus
I have chosen this motto for my episcopal ministry because it was the episcopal motto of the Founder of the Xaverian Missionaries, St. Guido Maria Conforti, and because I want to be guided by it in my episcopal ministry. This quotation from the letter of St. Paul the Colossians invites me and all of us to see Jesus Christ in our brothers and sisters, and to love them as we love him. In the Papal Bull of my nomination, Pope Francis asks God to help me to “to carry also the episcopal Order, through burning charity, which is the root of all virtues”.
Dear Brothers and friends,
So many happenings in Makeni these past few months, so many reasons to be grateful to God! With SiLeX we would like to make you a part, as much as we can, of the life of our Region so that you may also join us in thanking the Lord.
