Xaverian missionaries in Sierra Leone were hled a regional chapter from November 29 to December 3, 2021 at the Makeni Regional House.

17 Xaverians who work in Sierra Leone attended the event, included Fr. Donatien Ciza Makuza, who arrived few days before the Chapter. On that occasion also present the superior general, Fr. Fernando Garcia Rodriguez with board members Fr. Fabien Kalahezo.

The conferes take this opportunity to reflect and discuss a number of topics regarding ministry work in Sierra Leone.

Also they used this meeting to elect the new regional council who will work for the next three years.

Fr. Marselinus Rante Taruk was elected as a Regional Superior for the second term with Fr. Francois Noah  as a vice regional superior and Fr. Vittorio Bongiovanni, Fr Martin Ali Keke and Fr. Louis Birabaluge as a counselors.

the regional chapter was closed with the celebration of the Feast of the Patron of the congregation, St. Francis Xavier, in the Eucharist led by Bishop Natale Paganelli.
