Saints Peter and Paul's Parish-Fadugu

1623

Sts. Peter and Paul’s parish is located in the North of Sierra Leone at Fadugu, Koinadugu District. It was founded in 2007 by Fr. Tony Senno, s.x. After 8 years there are two fathers: Fr. George Jimenez, s.x. from Mexico (Parish Priest) and Fr. Luigi  Brioni, s.x from Italy (Asst. parish Priest).

The Parish has 18 communities: 7 of these are more assisted because we celebrate every fortnight the Holy Eucharist. The rest of the communities can only be visited about three or four times a year because they are far, located in remote areas. To reach some of the villages we have to walk for about one hour or one hour and half.

The activities that are in the parish are as follows: daily Mass in the morning. We then visit the catechumens in the outstations. In the evening there are different prayer groups: the youth meets on Monday, the men on Tuesdays and women on Wednesdays. On Saturdays there is the Choir practice. On Sundays one father celebrates Mass in two outstations and the other father goes to another outstation and then presides over the Mass in the Parish church.

The parish has seven Catholic schools which are also visited as often as possible in the morning hours.
