We, the Confreres in the Circumscription gathered together  in two days for the Quarterly Assembly and On-Going Formation Meeting in Religious House – Makeni on October 3 and 4, 2023.

This month assembly we read, reflect and share the new publish Document of the recent concluded 18th General Chapter of our Congregation. We spent a day for the 18th GC Document. The second day was dedicated for the Practical aspects and urgent concerns of the Managerial Functions of our Government Assisted Schools. We invited Fr. Peter M. Mansaray – the Education Secretary of the Diocese to give us news and update the current Education Program and Agenda of the Government. In behalf of Fr. Peter, he sent his Deputy Mr. Samuel T. Kamara and explained to us basically the functions of Managers in our Roman Catholic Primary Schools. There were good exchanges of ideas, questions and practical concerns that helped us to address issues in our Schools and the crucial roles of the School Managers.

We also invited the Bishop Most Rev. Bob John Koroma, DD to be with us in the short moment. His Grace came and spoke to us with gratefulness on our cooperation of his successful Episcopal Consecration. He exhorted us Xaverian Fathers of our significant presence in the Diocese of Makeni and the whole country. Our mission in the country is still relevant and needed especially in the Local Church. His short presentation followed by questions and interventions.

Our Assembly concluded by a Religious House Nite where we sat down and drank beers and wine accompanied with music and dances.
